How to visit Paris with children?

Are you traveling to Paris with your little ones?
Discover our favorite activities to do with children!

Strolling through the Tuileries Garden

The Tuileries Garden is one of the most beautiful and oldest parks in Paris.

But above all, it’s very lively! Here, there’s no time to watch the leaves fall. Trampolines, swings, playgrounds… keep the kids active.

In winter, the rides and other attractions are a delight for kids. In summer, you can rent small sailboats to sail on the ponds.

And the good news is that the park is completely free, open every day of the year, and less than a 10-minute walk from the hotel.

Visit the Opéra Garnier through an investigation

How about visiting the Opera House, just a 3-minute walk from the hotel, in a truly entertaining way? By conducting an investigation inside the Opera House!

The Opera Garnier escape game immerses you in the world of Arsène Lupin, the legendary character from French literature, and his latest investigation, which he was never able to solve. With family or friends, visitors set off to explore the different rooms, statues, paintings, and more to solve the mystery. They are led to observe the details of the ceiling, walls, and sculptures, and to race down the Opera’s grand marble staircase. It’s a great way to get your children interested in one of the most beautiful monuments in Paris.

Suitable for ages 8 and up. Reservations required at lupin-opera.cultival.fr  from €28.

Crossing the city by riverboat

How about exploring Paris aboard a riverboat? Guided tours on the water allow you to learn everything there is to know about the City of Light and see Paris unfold as you glide along the river: Île Saint-Louis, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre Museum, Place Dauphine, the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower… You’ll pass under the city’s most beautiful bridges (and you won’t be able to resist singing along). Here, there are no pebbles in your shoes or children who are tired of walking. The cruises usually last 1 hour, which is perfect for children.

Pique our curiosity at the Cité des Sciences

A little paradise of discovery, the Cité des Sciences is THE place to go with your family.
Here, you can learn about the world around you while having fun.

The idea: to demystify science by finally making it accessible to children.

Our favorite part of the visit: the ant observatory inside a giant earthworm, which allows you to observe these tiny creatures up close in their natural habitat. Wide eyes guaranteed!

Due to its popularity, it is strongly recommended that you reserve your tickets for the museum if you are visiting on a weekend or during school holidays.

Free for children under 2 years old
